Understanding Your Options
The main types of health coverage Kevin works with
Every client's situation is different. This overview helps you understand the landscape before Kevin personalizes a recommendation for you.
Private PPO Plans
Private PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) plans offer broad networks and the ability to see any licensed provider — no referral needed. These are not ACA marketplace plans; they're underwritten by private carriers and available outside of Open Enrollment.
ACA Plans (Bronze–Platinum)
ACA marketplace plans are available through the federal or state exchange. They're organized by metal tier — Bronze (lowest premium / highest out-of-pocket), Silver, Gold, and Platinum (highest premium / lowest out-of-pocket). Income-based subsidies can significantly reduce your premium.
Short-Term Health Plans
Short-term health plans provide temporary coverage for people between jobs, waiting for Open Enrollment, or in a coverage gap. They're typically less comprehensive than full plans but provide important protection against major medical events.
Small Group / Business Plans
Group health plans offered by an employer. Small business owners can offer coverage to their employees and often qualify for the Small Business Health Care Tax Credit. Kevin helps businesses structure and administer these plans.
